Loaves & Fish: From Failure to The Chosen

The Chosen, the first-ever multi-season show about Christ and the highest crowd-funded media program of all time, was birthed from failure. Before God took The Chosen to tens of millions of people in every country in the world, He first broke down Dallas Jenkins, the creator of the show. Dallas's story is universal, even if the details seem extraordinary, and he authentically takes you behind the scenes in detail of how God continues to work on him as He works on viewers.

Dallas Jenkins

Dallas Jenkins is the creator, director, and co‑writer of The Chosen, the groundbreaking multi‑season series about the life of Jesus. Under his leadership, The Chosen became the largest crowd‑funded media project in history and has reached a global audience through platforms including Amazon Prime Video. Jenkins’ character‑driven approach and commitment to authentic storytelling have helped redefine what faith‑based television can be.

About This Event

Lutheran Haven & St. Luke's Lutheran Church are hosting this event as a fundraiser for Lutheran Haven's Benevolent Care Ministry, which supports seniors—especially retired pastors, missionaries, church workers, teachers, and other residents—who find themselves in need after a lifetime of service. Sustained entirely through prayer and gifts of love, this ministry provides critical assistance when unexpected hardships arise, and has become a true sanctuary for many in our Lutheran Haven retirement community.
